勇于敢则杀，

Reckless courage leads to death, |
|
勇于不敢则活。
|
Cautious bravery leads to life. |
|
此两者，
|
These two paths, |
|
或利或害。
|
May be beneficial or harmful. |
|
天之所恶，
|
What heaven disfavors, |
|
孰知其故？
|
Who can understand why? |
|
是以圣人犹难之。
|
Even the sage finds it hard to know. |
|
天之道，
|
The Dao of heaven, |
|
不争而善胜，
|
Does not compete yet excels, |
|
不言而善应，
|
Speaks not yet answers, |
|
不召而自来，
|
Calls not yet arrives, |
|
缮然而善谋。
|
Acts effortlessly yet plans well. |
|
天网恢恢，
|
Heaven's net is vast, |
|
疏而不失。
|
Its meshes wide yet nothing escapes. |
