圣人在天下,
Shèng rén zài tiān xià,
The sage dwells in the world,
歙歙焉,
Xī xī yān,
Appearing withdrawn,
为天下浑其心,
Wèi tiān xià hún qí xīn,
She blends her mind with the world's.
百姓皆注其耳目,
Bǎi xìng jiē zhù qí ěr mù,
People fix their eyes and ears on her,
圣人皆孩之。
Shèng rén jiē hái zhī.
And she treats them all as her children.
