不出户，
|
Without leaving your home, |
|
知天下；
|
you can know the world; |
|
不窥牖，
|
without looking out the window, |
|
见天道。
|
you can see the Dao of Heaven. |
|
其出弥远，
|
The farther you venture, |
|
其知弥少。
|
the less you understand. |
|
是以圣人不行而知，
|
Therefore, the sage knows without traveling, |
|
不见而明，
|
sees without looking, |
|
不为而成。
|
achieves without striving. |
